Aerial shot from a bush plane. Someone had come in to the "Pit",(otherwise known as the Westminster Cabaret) where I worked as a barmaid, and offered me a job as camp cook in a mining camp. Once I'd arrived at the camp, however, I was observed unpacking a suspicious collection of exotic (yet thoroughly legal) spices and it was uncovered that I was a vegetarian. Although I claimed a willingness to cook meat for them, I was nevertheless ordered to immediately re-pack and along with my 6 airsick kittens and mother cat, promptly returned to Dawson City.
Six hours after quitting, I was begging for my job back at the Pit... Eileen kindly reinstated me- minus, of course, the wage benefits I'd accumulated over the past few months.
