My only photo of daddy as a child- the two brothers
Eddie (L) and Ralph (the eldest, born August 21st, 1927) (R) with their father,
Winnipeg, 1936 or 37.
In 1944 Ralph joined the US navy at age 17, with the permission of his father.

If you look closely, you can see that the original drawing
was actually made by artistically talented Ralph,
probably to tease Eddy (who was quite studious),
then seized upon by Eddy, who altered the names!!
